Follow the green S sign to the suburban railway. You can buy an “airport city day ticket*” (recommended, especially for groups) or a “Streifenkarte”-ticket at a ticket vendor and validate it at a ticket canceller machine (8 stripes of the “Streifenkarte”). Take any train and deboard at Marienplatz (after 35 minutes). Continue with 3.

Option 1:

Leave the main station through the north exit onto Arnulfstraße, where you will find the bus stop "Hauptbahnhof Nord" on your left. Take the CityRing bus line 58 and get off at the "Universität" stop. Cross the street at the traffic lights right next to the bus stop and walk straight ahead to get to Schellingstraße. The institute is about 50 meters further on the left-hand side. The entrance (house number 3) is located by the steps.

Option 2:

Follow the green S sign to the suburban railway. You can buy a “Einzelfahrschein (1 Zone)” / ticket for 1 ride, a “Streifenkarte” ticket for several rides or a day ticket (recommended for groups) at a ticket vendor and validate it at a ticket canceller machine (2 stripes of the “Streifenkarte”). Take a train towards Innenstadt (city center) / Marienplatz. Continue with 3.

Take the U-Bahn (metro) U3 or U6 towards Münchner Freiheit. Leave the train at the stop Universität and take the exit to Schellingstraße. The IPS is situated in Schellingstraße number 3 (left hand side), about 50 meters distance from the metro station.

Once entered the building take the right hand stairs (or elevator) to the second floor. Our secretariat is located in room number 224 VG.
